Global Telesat Corp (GTC) is a subsidiary of World Surveillance Group Inc, a publicly listed company headquartered at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
GTC is a leading provider of asset tracking and monitoring solutions for governments, commercial users and individuals. GTC provides custom made tracking and monitoring systems and devices and specializes in providing service using the extensive Globalstar low orbit satellite network.
GTC has made a substantial investment in and owns a number of unique network infrastructure devices, known as appliqués, which provide the signal receipt and processing technology that enables and powers Globalstar’s Simplex Data Service. This service addresses the existing and ever growing market demand for a small and cost effective solution for receiving and processing data from remote locations. The small size and low battery requirement of the mobile custom designed devices which transmit data makes them attractive for use in applications such as tracking vehicles or asset shipments, monitoring unattended remote assets or mobile security.
GTC’s appliqués are located at a number of satellite ground stations owned and operated Globalstar and their independent gateway partners. Additionally, to further enhance global coverage of its services, GTC operates its own satellite ground station and is currently in the process of constructing additional ground stations in areas where no Simplex Data Service is currently offered by Globalstar. When combined, these ground stations provide service around the world, including virtually all of the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia, portions of South America, Northern Africa, and North-Eastern Asia and hundreds or thousands of miles offshore of these areas.
In addition to providing industry specific tracking and monitoring devices, GTC can design, build and install custom made satellite tracking and monitoring ground station systems for installation anywhere in the world. Our customized ground station systems can collect information from unlimited devices within a radius of up to 2,000 miles and are particularly useful for governments, armed forces, disaster relief organizations or industrial users requiring a highly secure, precise and low cost method of asset tracking and monitoring in areas where the standard commercial Simplex Data Service is currently unavailable.
