The oil and gas industries rely on hundreds of miles of pipelines often located where there is no easy access or opportunity for regular inspections and when in remote locations, no reliable method of communication. Our technology works worldwide and our solutions enable constant monitoring of pipes, valves and other remote equipment.
GTC can custom build customer specific tracking and monitoring devices for the oil and gas industries. Our devices can be attached to machinery, pipelines or other remote assets to provide a variety of status reports including the following:
- Automatic updates on valve pressure and temperature
- Alerts for overheating machinery or equipment
- Alerts on urgent maintenance requirements
- Fuel levels on generators or other remote equipment
- Seismic movements on remote pipelines
Unlike similar products offered by many competitors, GTC's devices work using satellite technology to ensure that you receive status reports on your equipment at all times, even if it is located in an area with no GSM coverage. Furthermore, our unique downlink technology ensures that control messages can be sent back to your equipment. This technology is invaluable if a status report is received alerting you to overheating equipment or a burst pipe, etc. The downlink message enables you to control your equipment remotely, for example to shut-down an overheating motor or reduce pressure on a pipeline valve.
