In addition to the GPS location and uplink status reports offered by GTCs one-way data services, we have developed a unique two-way data system which allows you to have almost immediate control over unmanned assets located in remote areas where alternative communications systems are unavailable, inefficient, or not practical to use.
By combining the small satellite transmitter from our one-way device with an alternative satellite technology, GTC can offer an all-in-one solution that not only allows you to receive uplink status alerts but also to respond to them by sending a downlink control message back to your asset. This control message can be used for a wide variety of functions including remote control of machinery, pipelines, pumps or valves. GTC's two-way device can control an asset remotely within one minute of receiving an alert message and like our one-way devices, it operates completely independently of GSM networks.
Please see How it Works for information on how the two-way data system works.
Below are just some of the control messages our devices can provide:
On/Off Control of Assets If you receive an emergency status alert from your equipment or machinery you can use GTC's two-way device to send a manual or automatic control message back to shut it down.
User Instructions Depending on the status and location of your other assets you may wish to send a control message instructing a user to relocate their asset or alter their task.
Unauthorized Vehicle Control If you receive an emergency status alert informing you of unauthorized use of a vehicle it is possible to disable the vehicle, control its speed or simply pass GPS location reports to police authorities until your vehicle is recovered. Unlike many similar products, GTCs device works independently of GSM network coverage to ensure maximum control and coverage.
