GTC’s uplink devices work using the Globalstar Simplex Data Service. Although this service is highly reliable and covers a large part of the world there are still some limited area gaps, mainly in parts of Africa and Asia. Globalstar is working hard to install additional equipment and ground stations to cover these gaps and GTC also plans to build additional ground stations over the next few years. Our downlink devices offer global coverage including oceans and all land areas including the Poles. This allows you to control your assets or equipment wherever they are in the world.
